Admission into Kikam Technical Institute is open to qualified Junior High School graduates through the Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS), as well as direct applicants for our accredited short courses.
How to apply
Application steps.
- Choose KIMTECH at placement
Select Kikam Technical Institute and your preferred programme when completing your CSSPS school selection.
- Confirm your placement
When placements are released, confirm that you have been placed at KIMTECH and print your placement form.
- Report for registration
Report to the school with your placement form, results slip and required documents on the stated registration dates.
- Complete enrolment
Complete enrolment with the admissions office, pay approved fees and receive your class and boarding allocations.

How do I gain admission to KIMTECH?
Most students are placed through the CSSPS. Select Kikam Technical Institute among your choices during school selection. Direct/short-course applicants should contact the admissions office.
What programmes can I study?
Twelve departments across four faculties: engineering trades (mechanical, electrical, welding, motor vehicle, electronics), built environment (building, wood, drafting, plumbing & gas), applied technology (ICT, solar PV) and fashion design.
Do you run short courses?
Yes — accredited programmes include the Energy Commission Electrical Wiring Certification, Oil and Gas Technology (NTVETQF 3) and Welding & Fabrication 1 & 2.
